The Disposable Small Vessel holds samples that use path lengths from 0.005-5mm. Single-use in nature, the disposable vessel can meet most concentration needs and removing the need for cumbersome cleaning. It can be used for concentration from 0.1 mg/ml to 300 mg/ml (based on an antibody extinction coefficient). It is made of TOPAS Cyclic Olefin Copolymer UV optical grade plastic giving it a wavelength range of 240nm-800nm.
The Micro and Small Quartz Vessels use path lengths from 0.005-5mm. They can be used for concentrations from 0.1 mg/ml to 300 mg/ml (based on an antibody extinction coefficient). It is made of pure fused silica giving it a wavelength range of 190nm-1100nm. For more dilute samples, the Large Quartz Vessel can be filled to 2.5mL for samples requiring larger path lengths up to 15mm for samples down to 0.01 mg/ml.
Fibrettes transmit the source light from the spectrophotometer to the sample. By replacing the fibrette after each measurement users can ensure zero carryover and guaranteed cleanliness. Fibrettes are inexpensive enough to be used as a disposable, but robust enough to be cleaned and re-used. These consumable parts are made from UV-grade fused silica and coated with a polyimide buffer making them flexible and robust.
